Le Creuset French Oven Survives Victorian Bush Fire

A Victorian man was astounded to find his Le Creuset Cobalt Blue Round French Oven amongst the devastation that he felt compelled to come forward and share his story.

His home was victim to one of Australia’s worst bushfires to date.  After the worst of the fires in his area were over, he returned to where his home once stood and began his search through the empty baron space.

He looked around for anything that could be salvaged from the rubble. After a futile search he saw his Le Creuset Cobalt Blue Round French Oven standing proud and untainted amongst the wreckage.

Although the handle had completely melted, the colour was vibrant and the body was in tact.  Unfortunately the lid and base had bonded together. 

This is a remarkable story which the gentleman has given Milner’s permission to pass onto other Le Creuset customers and consumers. 

Similarly, another Le Creuset customer has come forward to share her story of her Cherry Red Round French Oven which has withstood any major damage, except for a melted handle.

What is significant about these stories is the resilience of the Australian spirit. The fact that someone who had survived the worst fires in Australia’s history and had lost everything, still was able to come along and share his/her/their stories  with us is truly incredible and humbling.
