NEC still have a very large divisional base including healthcare, educational, audio visual & security and are therefore as such still able to support exisiting warranties. It’s just unfortunate that in the modern world of retail, they haven’t been able to support their strong brand presence of the 80′s with big budget TV campaigns like Samsung, Sony, Panasonic & LG and therefore have suffered from decreasing floor space. This coupled with the diminishing margins of an overpopulated and competitive market, has resulted in the loss of this great product brand to the industry.
