Wilson’s Federer wins 14th Grand Slam Title and ties Pete Sampras’ Historic Record

FROpen Poster_FEDERER1C[CHICAGO] – Federer walked on Roland Garros’s Philippe Chatrier court to a roaring French crowd who was waiting for history to be made. With his [K] Six.One Tour, Roger Federer rolled passed Robin Soderling, 6-1, 7-6(1), 6-4, to win his first French Open championship and fourteenth Grand Slam title.

Federer certainly earned his standing ovation by winning the coveted title as well as completing his career Grand Slam–winning at least one of each of the Grand Slam tournaments. Federer achieved his first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon in 2003 and went on to defend the title for the following four years. Federer has also won five consecutive titles at the U.S. Open from 2004-08 and three titles at the Australian Open in 2004 and 2006-07.

During the final match of this year’s French Open, Soderling pushed the second set to 6-all but Federer rallied during the tiebreaker, hitting aces on all four of his service points. Throughout the match, he never lost service game and had 41 winners and only 24 unforced errors. Federer has been a lifelong Wilson athlete, winning each and every one of his 14 Grand Slam titles with Wilson technology in his hand. It was Federer’s first ever conquest at Roland Garros and it guaranteed that he now ties the legendary Pete Sampras with 14 Grand Slam titles.

“This tournament meant so much to me–to tie a legend like Pete and to finally get the Roland Garros title I’ve been working so hard to achieve”, said Federer. “For every single title and every Grand Slam, I’ve had a Wilson racket to push me through. I know the support Wilson has provided will carry me through many more moments like this.”

Wilson had many other notable achievements at the 2009 French Open including: Juan Martin Del Potro with his [K] Six.One 95, reached his 1st Grand Slam Semifinal, Serena Williams reached the quarterfinals of the Women’s draw with her [K] Blade Team, and with her [K] Blade 98, Sorana Cirstea reached her 1st Grand Slam quarterfinal. Daniel Nestor with his [K] Six.One 95, and partner Zimonjic reached the Men’s Doubles Semifinals.

Buying Guide for Laptops

Buying Guide for Laptops

Buying a laptop computer is an important and expensive decision. You want to be sure you get the most for your money. Here is a list of things to consider when evaluating laptops.

Price
The first thing to establish is how much you want to spend. If you start by evaluating features, the price can quickly escalate on you. All of a sudden the laptop you want is several hundred dollars beyond what your budget can handle and you have to start your search all over again.

Screen size
Size matters and bigger is not always better. Are you looking for a laptop to watch movies on or play video games? Are you going to need to carry this laptop with you wherever you go? What and where you plan to use your laptop will have a huge impact on how big it should be and screen size is the easiest way to control this factor.

RAM
The higher the RAM, the faster your computer works. If you are a student and using this primarily for writing papers then lower RAM is probably preferable since this can increase the cost of a computer significantly. If you play graphics intensive games, high RAM is essential.

Ports
The peripherals that can be supported is often an important factor. Do you need an HDMI output jack? How many USB devices will you connect at once? How do you plan to connect to the Internet?

Graphics Card
The speed and capability requirements of the graphics card are intimately dependent on how you plan to use your laptop. A graphics card that performs well beyond your needs is sure to increase the price. A card that cannot keep up with the video games you are playing can be the most frustrating experience.

These are just some of the important things to consider when purchasing a laptop. What else is important is a personal decision for you to make. Take some time to establish a list of criteria and assign the correct importance to each. This will help ensure you purchase the best laptop for you.
